I am interested in double exposed photography and have experimented with layering negatives physically, although this photo is created by turning my head quickly and taking the photo with long exposure.
This is a blog where I share my visions, ideas, inspirations and work. I work conceptually and prefer communicating with the photographic medium, still photo or film. I use this blog as a sort of overview of my experiments and outcomes but also to share things I find interesting as well as influences from other artists or observations in life. Welcome to my blog. Facial expressions
Facial expressions.
This is made when finding symbols in communication. It is a sort of extension of my body language prints.
I am very interested in how we communicate with our bodylanguage and facial expressions.
The language is only a verbal part of the communication between one another and
we read each others throught what we visually see.
This led me to think about how we communicate and socialize so much online nowadays.
We loose alot of the communication online; body gestures, eye contact, sound of voice and facial expressions.
Will be slowly loose the ability of personal communication and bodylanguage?
Dreamlandscapes
These are photographs taken when experimenting with exposure.
I like the blurry kind of dreamy effect and the glittery feeling.
I have come to realize that I enjoy working with b/w photographs and the challenge
of creating a feeling and creating the photograph rather than taking it as this would only be an
observation of the world around me. Actually communicating and visualizing something abstract or
something that can only be communicated through an image and not with words.
I am also interested in the line between photography and painting, sometimes when I look at a photograph
it is hard to tell what it actually is.
Red photos
Red photos. These are a part of an experimental project adding different filters to the camera lens.
This is made throught the filter of a watercolored cottonpad.
Drawing in the process of three materials used
This is a drawing made from upside down without actually looking at the image during the process.
I find it interesting working with an image experimenting with several materials and methods so I
chose to make an ink drawing and a screen print onto fabric as well.
Collecting the corners
These are an outcome of a collection of corners which I took photos of.
I chose to create a 4 sided 3 dim cube with them attaching the corners on the outside.
The idea is to play with the shape of a space and to create a "reversed" room -without- corners.
I made 3 of these because when adding one cube to another - a corner is created.
It has to do with the whole idea of how everything needs something else in order to exist and nothing stands alone.

"Pauses in conversation"
This is an outcome for a project.
The cups symbolizes the pauses (full-stops) in a conversation
and the blocks symbolizes sentences.
The thoughts around it is how everything is built up with pauses, and can be found
in everything; music, speech, dance. Without pauses there will be no rythm.
I wanted to communicate a complex matter in a simple way.

About Me
- Emma.B
- London, United Kingdom
- Im Emma from Gothenburg, Sweden. I live in London, and Stockholm. I study Photography at London college of communication after graduating from Central saint martins with Graphic design/photo which helped me develop alot and lead me to focusing only on photo. I find it inspirationable to study in London as I´m surrounded with lots of creativity and people with great ideas everyday. I find it important to be interested as a person to be able to do something interesting yourself. When it comes to art and photography I find it important to be open to recieve inspiration within any art form to create a broader understanding. This will make you more advanced within your own area of expertise. If your an actor, go and see dance, read books, go to exhibitions. It´s up to oneself how to develop that inspiration into something of your own. "The act of observing the experiment affects the experiment".
